can I flash this modem to a 5351-012 without a great amount of trouble?

The 5260 can only be flashed to a 5660 modem/router. The 5260's are neutered 5660's and can only be flashed if the whilte sticker on the bottom of the modem says
5660-001
5660-002
5660-003
5660-004
It's simple to do. You just have to find the software in order to do it. There is only one place that I know of off hand that has it. Please contact me via email if you want more info.
