Please see sig for comp info! I am rinning 2X512 Gskill Ram in my comp at the moment. I have some OCZ 2X512 TCCD 3200 (EL Dual Channel Platinum Rev. 2) available. Can I just insert the OCZ into the open RAM slots and have 2Gb dual channel?? My Gskill is in Dual channel at the moment.

Hi there.
Theoretically yes, you should be able to use RAM of the same speed as the existing 3200 RAM on the board.

However, a lot of boards are quite temperamental, so the only way to find out would be too try it out yourself.

You cannot do any damage to your board by trying it out :).

I tried to add the OCZ in the past and wound up reformatting my comp! I went from Dual Channel to 100 mhz mem timings????

Since I now have better backups, I am going to try adding the OCZ!!!!

I just tried to add it and the comp would not boot. Tried all mem configs (Gskil in 1 & 2, OCZ in 3 & 4 and GSkill in 1 & 3 and OCZ in 2 & 4). I also reset the CMOS. Is there something I am doing wrong or will the MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum not work with 4X512 Mem??

Did you change your command rate to 2t? It will not boot into windows if you don't. Also, I suggest booting to memtest86 first to check for errors. Good luck.

Definately use memtest86, and good luck on that 2gig, your going to NEED it more sooner than later.

the mobo may more than likely not accept the 2 different brands or work with them even at same timings as I tried something similar with no luck

But best shot is 2T with default timings or auto
