WoW Installation issues

Just picked it up from Gamestop a couple hours ago. Get home, first disc looks a bit odd on the backside...like all the data isn't there.

Put the disc in the drive, it takes forever to read, and finally it brings me to the first menu. Then I got an error 38(dunno what it is yet), and now it says "Installer cannot launch, you may be out of hard drive space"

Wtf? I just bought this. Shenanigans. Any suggestions on how to get around this, or should I just go back and exchange it for another copy? :bang head

I had the same problem come up once when I tried to install a slightly older game (don't recall which one) to a non-standard location... think I was putting it on a drive other than my C: drive. I then tried the game-suggested install spot and bing, no issues.
I only mention this because it came up with the "may be out of hard drive space" error, so if that's a standard excuse for games not working, it all could be unrelated.

Well, i'm not even selecting a drive to install to, and both my drives have space. It just gives me that error when the disc is inserted.

Sorry, not a clue then. But since you said the read-side of the disc looks funny, I'd return it, and mention that when doing so.
