"Cannot create 3D device" ????

"Cannot create 3D device" is the error I get each time I try to run the game "Operation Flashpoint".
I have DirectX 8.0 and a Riva TNT2 video card.
I tried to run it on all possible options.
Does somebody have any clue how to fix this?

I've seen quite a few glitches w/ my Kyro 2 and Operation Flashpoint. Are you using the most recent drives for your TNT2? You might also want to try downloading the 1.26 or 1.27 Patch (http://www.axleonline.com/patches.shtml). I just found it myself but I'm away on business so I'll be downloading it as soon as I get home. Good luck! Keep us posted!

yes I have the latest Detonator XP driver installed for my video card.
I've just downloaded and installed the patch for Operation Flashpoint but it still doesnt work.

i have the same problem with my tnt2 and ofp. i uninstalled ofp and reinstalled it and it works. i think nstallation of ofp was somehow corrupted. remove and reinstall. it should work

i had that problem for a while.. after a bit of reading I found a page that told me to open dxdiag and test the d3d. when i got the error again. it told me to go into my display settings/d3d options and drop the d3d usable system memory down as low as it would go.. haven't gotten the error since.

i had this problem once too, just reinstall directx
