CPU diode presumably shows the CPU temperature.
I'm looking for the position of the MB (MotherBoard or System) sensor...
 
I would also like to know the answer to this one. I asked this question awhile back when I had my P4C800-E. Noone knew the answer.
 
I'm curious too, my sys temps are pretty high right now and I don't think they're accurate. They've always been a tad high.
 
I think it has to be around the northbridge somewhere. I just put an old aluminum ThermalRight heatsink on the NB with a low speed fan and system temps are 2-3C lower than with stock and no fan. I will take a closer look tomorrow to see if I can see a thermistor there. The CPU is watercooled so this is the only fan at board level btw.
