Finally buying parts for my aunts computer.
She'll only be watching DVD's, no gaming or anything. And DVD will only be used like once a month lol
Anyways.. what would be the best choice for under 100 bucks?

Radeon LE-51 dollars, the DVD playback is easily the best of most commonly available video cards.....
yeah, get a LE, you will get more than DVD

well well Radeon LE eh
I've always been a Nvidia fan (but I'm a gamer)
I was thinking of getting a Geforce 2Mx for her. But if Radeon is the DVD choice I might just have to get that card.

on pricewatch I only found a few LE's and they were more then the VE's
I thought the VE's had dual view and the LE's didn't. Thought that would have made the VE's more.
Where was that LE at for 51 bucks?
And should getting OEM or Retail really matter? (besides price of course)
ATI has industry best DVD playback on its videocards. Better than many more expensive decoder cards.

All LEs are OEM. Even if a retailer states they are not, they are.
But ya any of the Radeon series rock with DVDs. Definately stay away from an MX.
I have a ATI Rage Pro/all-in-wonder PRO (don't laugh), that's integrated into my mobo, the DVD playback is great. Even the games look decent, except when I compare them to my friends TNT2 128, then they look shady. ATI for me.

the VE's do not have hardware t&l and will get crushed by an mx in any game, however for your grandmother this shoulde be perfect......i doubt shes uses dual monitors though....get the LE....
