View Full Version : Which 7800GTX card?
Which company should I got with? I currently have a xfx 6600gt that I have been happy with. So I was planning on sticking with xfx but is there another company out there better as far as overclocking potential, reliability, support?
This is the card I have my eyes set on at the moment:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814150100
Ive always LOVED BFG Tech, even though ive seen some people knock them, they have 24/7 tech support and lifetime warranty

Also heard good things about eVGA but i have never had one personally.

Leadtek PX7800 GTX TDH Extreme Edition is the one you want. Same heatpipe design as the 512mb ones but this hass 256mb of RAM. Its stock OC is clocked in at 490Mhz/1250Mhz.
This is def. THE nicest 256mb 7800GTX out there. Review here: http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/2005/10/20/leadtek_xfx_7800gtx/1.html

XFX makes some great 7800GTX OC boards, as does BFG and eVGA. I'd say go with the one that has the best price and clock speeds, as they all essentially share the same feature set. As far as warranties go, XFX and eVGA have the best ones, with BFG close behind. :)
Son is right, but u maybe shelling out a bit more cash for that...

eVGA, XFX, or BFG are great manufactors. Their OCing potential is more or less the same. It's more of a matter of preferences and which one has the cheapest one, or which has the best bundles. I like eVGA from experiences and have seen many get great clock speeds off eVGAs.

Go with eVGA they give you a lifetime warranty that covers overclocking, after market heat sinks and even water cooling.
You just have to basically look at what you want to do with the card and what you will need from the company selling you that card.
man its crzy how much xfx has improved from being a company that was regarded as so so months back to now, a company that has an awsome warrenty and high clocks ^^
