Ok, total noob question, but it's a slightly annoying problem that I'd like to fix in case something bad happens. (If this is the wrong section for it, sorry)
For a while, I had a Vantec Tornado on my XP-90. Nice airflow and all, but I just got tired of the noise, so I opted for a quieter fan (in this case, Panflo). Plugged into the CPU-FAN slot on my mobo, I get an error that 'no cpu fan detected'. Now, the fan itself runs fine, but I think the problem is that it only uses 2 prongs, for power I assume, and not the 3-4 that I've seen others use.
Is there a way to get the mobo to detect the rpms of the fan, and more importantly that it exists, so that in case it ever DOES have a problem, that I know immediately?
Thanks!
