View Full Version : This stepping doesnt sujck as much as everyone says!

Hey I just wanted to tell everyone that I have a 1.1GHz ASHHA processor. I have heard MANY reports of this stepping being awful, but as of a few hours ago, I have clocked it at 1.4GHz (140*10) and it is VERY stable. I ran Sandra cpu burn 30 times and memory burn in 30 times. I also ran 3dmark2k1 for an hour constantly. Its temps are fairly low also. It runs right now at 38 idle 43 load (load being cpu burn 30x) on aircooling. Just sharing my success..

Nice overclock. Every chip is a little diff just like peoples personalities and your chip happens to be a better overclocker than most with that stepping.

wat vcore is that at? And is this the latest stepping? I just bought a 1gigger tbird a few days ago an i was wondering if i was likly to get the same stepping? (i'm hoping for AXIAR or a new code or something)

the date is 1999, so you probably won't get it. I think in general this stepping is bad anyways, and I just got lucky. The Vcore is 1.90 btw.

PS- Im downloading Prime95 momentarily to put it through the real test :eek:

OH yeah and for all you anti-TT people Im using a lapped Dragon Orb 3 with Nanotherm Blue T-grease!

the dragon orb isn't really an orb chip crusher but still bad company because of the Orb issues in the past. How easy was the floppy drive mod? I am thinking of doing it. do you know the voltage to the green LED? that is all I need but if you have any hints I would love to hear them.
