I just checked in and see that I'm not moving up as fast as I first thought. I'm away for Thanksgiving week but left my computers folding. As long as the power doesn't go out before I get home I should be able to at least stay on page 4.

I'll be gone for Christmas and maybe shut down soon for a move in the near future so I'm not really a threat at the moment. But your right, page three should be a lot of fun.

I'm just running a single thread on an Intel the rest is AMD. Where I did good about 2 weeks ago was those 600 point gromys. My 3700 was spitting those out at about 700PPD but then I shut down all rigs for a 1 week family visit. When I fired back up we were getting chump WUs. My other page-bud Dicecca is running 3 or 4 P4s now and was pushing QMDs like mad. I think he's off for family visit but when he returns he'll join us on P3.
I'm working on my 2 layer garden addition so I can add some tinkerage to my score. That might just be enough to get solid orange again or red if the big stuff hits the AMDs again.

Keep up the good work and pass me so I can have more reasons to borg or build :D

The power must have gone out. I'm only getting the points from the borg. :shrug:

I set the bios to restart the computers if the power blinked but didn't check it out to see if it would work; I guess it didn't. :bang head

Hope everything is OK but what may have happened if you have several large PSUs on the same circuit, it may have tripped the breaker. Some of these monster PSUs plus UPSs suck a lot of juice when power is restored for a brief second but just enough to trip a standard breaker. It'll be good to have you back and have a safe trip home.

I've got everything folding again. :) It seems that the power did blink. Not long enough to require resetting the clock on the mircrowave but it did turn off the computers. The computers did restart but the router needed to be reset so there was no internet and all folding stopped. :bang head

I can set the computers to restart after a power outage but I don't know what I can do about resetting the router or modem if I'm away. :shrug:

Misfit, I see you got by me when I was down. Glad to see it! :) I see you have gone RED so I don't envision catching up any time in the near future.

Alabama, it looks like my six shooter malfunctioned. Your safe for now, but I do expect another showdown sometime in the future; unless of course you go RED also :cool:.

Put the router on a UPS along with the dsl/cable box. At least the rigs rebooted and completed the work. It's true we will have times when we have to cut back. I have to in the summer but I keep my cooler rigs going. During family visits I don't like to leave any more than climate control and lights on.

I turned Dark Red tonight. I'll see if I can hold it there. P3 is going to be a hoot. CrazyIvan will go over tommorrow and I think I'll be there on Wednesday.

I will have to build more rigs at home. (Four layer farm under construction). I'm also considering a dual opteron with dual cores giving me four procs. I know I could get the Intels for a lot cheaper but I see AMDs getting better throughput real soon.

Production is steady but slightly down from the other day but see the Cooking on the Farm thread.
That's what I'm thinking but for the same amount of money I may be able to get an M2 knowing AMDs track record. People are getting the Non-SMD Dual Optis for less then the X2s with a better performing chip. "I'm sitting on the fence counting reindeer :santa:"
