So I remember seeing a thread on here about this, but I couldn't find it... here goes:

So, I just got my feet wet... I bought the goods for watercooling.. I'm gonna have it go block--->pump--->radiator--->reservoir but the thing is, i don't know what to do for a res, and i don't know what to do about air bubbles.. i guess any thing of this nature would make my life easier, and give people a chance to inform me of their watercooling know-how :)

thx

are you using a sub-pump or in-line. air bubbles shouldn't be a prob just put a tiny hole atop your res, and you want the set-up to go res, pump, block, radiator.

Inline systems you don't use a resevoir.

If your going with a resevoir, you generally need to have the pump submerged inside the resevoir. So taking that in consideration, here is how I have mine setup:

Resevoir --> Heater Core (radiator) --> Block

You don't know what to do for a resevoir? Underground electrical junction boxes work great, they are water tight, Home Depot/Lowes sells them for $7 for the 4"x4"x4" or $14 for the 6"x6"x6".

I also recommended someone looking into a bigger container that they use with hand-held vacuum pumps, automotive shops would carry stuff like that. Those containers already come with barbs on them.

if you are worried about air bubles, find the highest part of the tubing abd put a T pipe in with a tube extending upwards, as this will be the highest part it will 'catch' all the ari bubbles
