Fan mounting: Angle ok?

I would like to know if it is bad for fan bearings if the fan is positioned at an angle that is not perpendicular or parallel to the horizon. Are they like hard drives, where you can mount them in any position?

I'm sure it puts a bit more strain on the bearings, but not enough to notice. Maybe it takes a few days off your bearing's lives, but nothing significant. Go for it.
