What's up with Viking Computers?

If, like me, you've been following the AMD XP prices on Pricewatch, you would have seen Viking Computers leading the pack the past few days. Some money, that has been burning a hole in my pocket, needed to be spent. I ordered an XP 1800 from Viking this morning. Afterwards, I tried calling their number listed on their Web site and every extension I chose said the voice mail was full, then hung up on me. Shortly thereafter, I got an order confirmation email from them listing a different phone number to call, if you had a question, in a totally different area code. I called it and got a recording saying it had been disconnected. Now, I'm wondering what the deal is with them. Did I just send my Master Card number off into jeopardy? Despite ordering from many companies from Pricewatc, this is the first time something like this has happened to me. Very unsettling.

this doesn't sound good. they may just be super busy. I would try to call again as soon as they open. I noticed a lot of mistakes on their website and I don't know but the xp16000 is more on pricewatch than it is on their website.

OMG they are gone from pricewatch?? what is going on? No longer on pricewatch.com??? I will try to find out what is going on.

Several of our members were screwed (many received modems or speakers instead of the combo) by viking. At the end of the thread is some help- one of our boys is going to stop in and have a word with them.

They also have several threads on them over in the hardocp forums. It sounds like they cleared out the warehouse and are going on vaction on you guys that ordered from them.:(
