halflife 2 mods

ive been playing a little too much dods and css lately and ive decided that i need to start moving on in terms of mod playing for hl2. so far ive tried dystopia and hidden source, which were just meh in my opinion and i realized that these are pretty much the only mods out so far. are there any halflife 2 mods that you guys are looking forward to? im excited about insurgency, but im really mainly hoping for a mod thats something along the lines of the specialists for hl1 (an amazing game).

I was a long-time player (about 5 years) of TFC (mod for the original HL) and clanned for about 3.5 of those years. So, this mod is being made from the community's standpoint of what would make a good mod and not letting vALVE come out with some half-assed version of the game that we have spent so much time playing. I also madea thread about it in these forums if you care to search for it.

There's about 100 different zombie mods coming out. There's a few that have me pretty interested. But none seem like they'll even hit beta until next year.

I agree, I've played Hidden and Plan of Attack. Both were pretty meh IMO. I think the hidden has potential, but something about the execution just leaves it unappealing. The hidden is to weak. The weapon selection is to limited. The game...just isn't fun. The maps are pretty though.

Plus, there's always only like 3 severs for the beta mods. Most with horrible pings.

I think HL2 will have great mods in a year...there's plenty being worked on.

You could always expand your gaming experience beyond Half Life 2.

They say that BF2 is what TF2 is. I say they sure smoke too much on the weekends. I never played much of TF, but hell, I sure loved the little bit I played.

Yeah I still have an HLDM server lol

the HL2DMpro mod introduced arcade mode which is like the AG adrenaline gamer MOD for original HLDM.

SPawn with everything and fast action, or you can play FFA which is basically the same as classic HLDM.

Bringing back the guass cannon and LJ were it though for me, the game sux without them.
