Installing softwares for windows XP PRO now.......................will let everyone know how it goes.........SO FAR so GOOD..........need 5 more hours to install and TWEAK everything the way I want it.....
In the mean time, why don't you share with us what you think of this XP?
and the important thing is DO YOU XP after installing winxp ?

I love that Q3A level.
And I sure do XP.
XP's alright, after ya get it looking normal :eek:
All in all, there are some better/some worse things over win2k..
I like 'em about evenly
but *nix beats 'em both into the ground

yup... Linix can run for "years" without haveing to be rebooted...The best I can do with win98 is 2 days...after that werid errors pop up.
i do XP :) and have for some time now.
I've run Win98 for over a month, but all it was doing was folding.

I never had my computer lock up folding as it's Cpu intenstve no Os
I 98....
LOL All I use it for is:
Seti
Counter Strike
Mp3'z
Overclocking ...
And I use to XP before my hdd broke ... It was alright ... The final version coporate sucked tho!

winxp is so far so good..............restarting now after updating all the latest update from microsoft and my hardware manufactures.........
still need 5 more hours to TWEAK and CHECK everything 1 more time.........................to make sure everything is the way it supposes to be
will inform people here.................................:)
I'M STILL XP..............EVEN THOUGH IT SCARES ME THIS AFTERNOON............EVERYTHING IS UNDER THE control.....and function PROPERLY.......:)

i've had xp for over 3 weeks. pretty good. much better then 98, i've never used 2000 so i dunno about the diffrence. altho the xp look didn't last with me more then 10 minutes, i hated it!
Y2J!! er Y2K... no.. um... Win 2K!!! Yea thats it... I2K!!
Love it, best OS Ive been able to work yet... Installed redhat once, could do nuthin, Installed Mandake once, played for about 30minutes, got bored, didnt get it... Gonna install again some time soon... Want to try xp sometime.. But will be a lil while for now...

90% completed.....................winxp is 90% the same as win2k
the only different is winxp organized things DIFFERENTly........it's hard to find thing.....................just need to practice
oh boy, xp is COLORFUL.......
get back to work 10% need to do now
i just got xp pro.
I'll prolly install it on a spare/test computer i had to play around with.

ive been running xp for aoubt a month, and it is great....im going to get the final version from my school for $5.....no, i can hook no one up but myself. sorry.

For all the Windows98 users upgrading would be beneficial. For Windows2000, I really don't see any need to upgrade anytime soon. For Linux users, haha I'm sure it's not even a consideration.

Ive had it downloaded a month ago and i was waiting on reading more opinions on it before installing. I think i'm definitley installing it today. I have win98 and never had any problems with it for these past years.

XP Pro for about a month now.
I 98SE. And unless one of the flavaz of XP game as well as or better than 98SE, I'll stick with 98. 2K didn't game worth a crap for me. Had it on for less than two hours before I dumped it and rolled it back.
Any word on how well XP Home games? I've thus far only seen info on XP Pro.

I personally think 98 is a much better gaming os than XP. I dual with 98 just for games.

Hate dual OS. Bought a 4 port KVM switch so I don't have to. MS needs to come up with Windows Xgamer. A gamer specific OS.

I played diablo 2 and other games in windows xp and it rocks...............stable
What about "Vampire: The Masquerade - Redemption"? It won't even bring up the install wizard under 2K because it's NT based.

yeah I agree..... We were installing Linux Mandrake 7.0 on a computer at school in computer repair....heheh kinda funny on the other side was Windows 98 with Windows 2000 install on it too....And on the other side Linux mandrake 7.0 on the other......Now lets see who can run for 5 years stright :)

I have XP Pro.. eval copy... last for 180 days.... but i have only two 2gig drives... getting a new 60gig... when i get my p200 pc sold....
So far it is good... it had all my drivers (mother board etc..~) only one it did't have was my usb cable modem. It will take abit of getting used too.
And I will be getting the home ed when i get my new drive... whats the diff.. is it like the diff between 2000 and me?
thats what im saying its the same as win2k just with more toys i dont want.
beautiful and colorful is not what im looking for in an os:)

WOW!!!!!! the first Stable Microsoft OS in how many years????
I bet I can still make Windows XO have the BSOD because I get it in Windows 98 because of my sound card does not like 2 games from microsoft. Train sim and Flight sim

oh I forgot to say that it will be recorded into wave and then made into a Mp3..... I would get Windows Xp but buying suplys for my camera does hurt me a little as I don't have a job right now.... But things will get better soon.

make sure the driver for your CAMERA is for winXP OR W2K PRO.........
