The subject title says it all. I have an old computer with a K6-2 500MHz with a FIC PAG-2130 MB. Can i overclock? Is it worth it?

You can but not very much. Seems like you needed to buy/make some sort of device to change the multipliers on those though. Otherwise, it's probably only going to overclock via the system bus.

Someone else hopefully can give you more info than I can regarding those chips.

I use to run a couple of K6-2 450s oc'd; 1 hit 550 stable and the other would do 500. Mobo I had used jumpers for clock speed selection.

The old K6s got pretty hot when overclocked too though!

NOTE: I still have one of them someplace and one of these days I'm going to toss it together with a newer HSF- maaybe I can get more out of it!
