So I was about to buy myself an x850 xt pe (AGP) from the Egg since the Visiontek was priced at around $350. That one went out of stock. Now I notice that the Asus model is also OOS. Meh.. Maybe I'll just wait until after X-mas.

That's what you get for waiting a bit to see if prices decrease. :bang head

If you dont mind the work and paying alittle extra due to demand, the Sapphire X800GTO2 unlocks and overclocks to X850XT PE almost 60% of the time. It unlocks to 16 pipes 100% of the time.

Take a look at my X800 OC DB (http://www.ocforums.com/showthread.php?t=423297) and you can see how the GTO2 is overclocking. BTW you can find it for under $250 and if your lucky as low as $215.

You should pay attention to his signature. In order to take advantage of the GTO he'd have to upgrade his CPU in addition to his motherboard, which will cost more than the x850XT alone.

I also agree that a jump to PCI-E is the smartest move, but it's not always the cheapest for everyone.

LOL good call... yes PCIe would be the best way to go, but the GTO2 is not an option for AGP

Take a look at getting a X800PRO VIVO AGP that can unlock to 16 pipes and OC almost as well as as the GTO2.

Was gonig to say for that price might as well get a X1800XL. But seeing as the board is AGP only :( Don't know what to say.

I'm sure you'll see some deals around that you might beable to get a cheap card, just keep an eye out.

Oh check the classifieds might find a deal in there also.

BestBuy had a BBA X850XT PCI-E for only $200 this week after instant rebates. After checking the website, it appears that was only our store
