Although i only have 1 fan in the front and one in the back shouldnt it run a bit cooler? The fan on it is a Thermaltake 31cfm. Maybe i should put my Delta 38cfm on it......or maybe its on wrong:confused:
Idle 43c
Load 48c

Jason, would that be your load temp or idle temp. As i mentioned i have a thermaltake 31cfm on it, im sure my temps would be lower with my Delta 38cfm but i find it too loud. My computer sits right beside me on my desk so its quite annoying after 10mins.

my puter is RIGHT BESIDE ME AND MY BED, that is a idle temp - load is 44 MAX. I use a Glaciator HS, fan is 29.6cfm at 32bd, it is super quiet

Well i tried both my Delta 38cfm and my Thermaltake 31cfm fans and it did show a temperature difference.
Thermaltake 31cfm
43c Idle
48c Load
Delta 38cfm
40c Idle
44c Load
So i guess ill have to take the higher temps cause i cant stand that screamer:(
u may have too much thermal compound. get some AS2 at svc for 4.99 shipped adn put a super thin layer on and see the temps drop like a rock.

I do have ASII and i did apply a paper thin layer on the core. I know what my problem is, i dont have enough case cooling, as of right now, MBM shows case temps of 33-34c, and thats with 2 fans. I guess ill have to mod it and get 1 or 2 fans on the side of my case. Its a cheap case though, could be that, im gonna get a Lian Li very soon, i heard they have good cooling. Does anyone have experience with the Cooler Master series? They are pretty expensive though, more than the Lian Li's but if theyre better, might be worth the shot.

Some of the SK6's are coming with pretty bad bases... mine was a bit uneven and had machining marks on it so I lapped it a little and I think that helped some. I have some AS2 that I ordered from svc compucycle but I haven't applied it yet, I've been using some generic white grease. I'll be futzing around with heatsinks next week - I ordered an Alpha PAL8035 and I'm going to run a little bit of a test of my own, with 3 different heatsinks and 3 different thermal greases. Anyhoo.

PS my temps with SK6/YS Tech 40 are 43 C load and 27-28 C idle (about 1 degree above case temp). I'm using the WPCREDIT hack for KT133A to get the low idle temps, 1 GHz AXIA-Y @ 1.2 GHz, 1.75 volts vcore.
I Had a Globalwin FOP38 for about 2 hrs I could`nt take the noise either lol So I swapped the Fan for another 60mm I had laying around slightly higher temps but much less noise
I still have my auqastealth Watercooling kit I bought about 2 yrs ago although it would pale compared to some I think I need a bigger case :p maybe a pc70 aluminum one well I can daydream cant I? :)
