View Full Version : overclocked duron, my boot-up changes
i found something very strange, when i usually boot-up it show my clock speed...but just a few minutes ago it didn't? so i went to check bios settings but didn't alter anything. after it reboot the clock speed suddenly came back???? what the heck is that about?
amd duron 850@952, 112fsb*8.5, 1.60volts
iwill kd266 mobo
256pc-133 ram
16mb 3dfx voodoo 3000
40gig maxtor 5400
win98 se
My 8K7A+ and 1.4 @ 1.67 does that quite often.
Don't know why or anything, I'm assuming it's just part of the "Quick Boot" process or something.
It's been doing that fine for a few months now so I've paid no mind to it.
I get the same thing when I do a reboot from the menu, however when I do a cold boot, it will do the whole post including posting the CPU speed, memory count etc.
