View Full Version : overclocked duron, my boot-up changes

i found something very strange, when i usually boot-up it show my clock speed...but just a few minutes ago it didn't? so i went to check bios settings but didn't alter anything. after it reboot the clock speed suddenly came back???? what the heck is that about?

amd duron 850@952, 112fsb*8.5, 1.60volts
iwill kd266 mobo
256pc-133 ram
16mb 3dfx voodoo 3000
40gig maxtor 5400
win98 se

My 8K7A+ and 1.4 @ 1.67 does that quite often.

Don't know why or anything, I'm assuming it's just part of the "Quick Boot" process or something.

It's been doing that fine for a few months now so I've paid no mind to it.

I get the same thing when I do a reboot from the menu, however when I do a cold boot, it will do the whole post including posting the CPU speed, memory count etc.

and sometimes it doesn't let me check the PC Health Status

Have you ever seen the translation to english in the FIC motherboard manuals?

And these are intelligent college graduates that write these things !

hey frank,

if you got a minute i'd like to find out some specifics on your DURON 600 @ 1100 A7V WBK 38. i'm tryin to oc my duron 700 on an a7v. so far im only gettin 877mhz and i was just curious how you got that 600 so high.

but it has been like this for ehh....around 2-4 bios updates...


they really need to fix this..
