.net now needed for Control Center?

I tweaked the CRAP out of my 2k install with NLite, so I'm not sure if this is ATI being stupid or me being dumb.

My video driver installed no problem(have yet to test a 3d game) but the control center(where you adjust AA and AF through advanced in display settings) would not run. It gave me a ton of issues with .net, and I reinstalled just the control center and it said .net is not installed and needed for this program to run??

I've never had .Net before, is this new?

CCC always needed .Net to run.

Yea it has alwise need net to run the good thing is when vista comes out net will be built in so we wont have to download it every time.
