can't make window welcome scree go away

I can't get this thing to stop poping up every time I reboot. I uncheck the box that says show window on startup but it keeps comming up. Can I edit the registry someplace to make it stop?

hmm if its 2k i would check the taskmanager and see what .exe is running. maybe you could delete it.

the cd is not in and it is win 98. It is really getting annoying

go to ms paint size page to 420 by 380 leave it blank or write what you want then save it as C:\logo.sys

Do you mean the splash screen? If not, I don't think I've ever seen a welcome screen with Win 98. If it's the splash screen there's a number of utilities to disable it. I used to use a program called Tiny Tools.
