Someone help me! I am thrown for a loop with this most recent problem. I build this kick ass system about 3 months ago and finally get it running all fine and dandy. I have reformatted several times and resintalled drivers and software over and over again and have just recently come up with a new problem.

The only time I see it occur is in Tribes 2. After a reformat and installation of all my drivers, all of the interior textures in Tribes2 turn blue. If any part of my screen can see out doors, it works fine, but when I am completely indoors, everything is blue. After going through and screwing with settings, I found that it is the vertex lighting that is doing it. I experienced this with the 21.81 det drivers. I am unsure what version I was using before that, so I don't know if it is a driver problem. I recently uninstalled the det drivers with the nvmax driver uninstallation and upgraded to the 21.83 drivers in hope of fixing the problem. It didn't work.

I know I can probably run anything with the vertex lighting off, but I don't wanna! I didn't spend an arm and a leg to have even one setting turned off.

Oh yeah, this occurred with all gf3 settings at default with no oc and with tweaks and oc.

On a similar note, anyone know how to get this video capture and tv out to work? I was going to try recordign tv shows with my computer and watch computer stuff on my tv.

To my knowledge you DONT want vertex lighting. You want Dynamic lighting. Vertex is faster and uglier, Dynamic is way better.

stupid tribes2 nusiances

in tribes2 (and only in T2), i get snaps or jerks it gameplay, sorta like it's loading something (i believe it loads sounds). I've tried everything, but it dosen't stop... i'm going to call sierra soon and see if they have a solution.

its a great game, despite the bugs

This is absolutely true...Vertex Lighting is actually REDUCES image quality in exchange for a little extra speed. You DON'T want it enabled. I can post some screenshots if you want.

Krusty, email me when you can and I will send you the WDM/VIVO 1.04h drivers a Gainward rep sent me. They are the same version as the ones from the FTP, only difference is that they actually work! ;)

Also, can anyone recommend a good Video catpure program?

Email me (zeke009@hotmail.com)

I have attached the WDM Driver 1.04h that the rep sent me. If there are any problems downloading this file, please let me know and I will get it to you another way.

I have Ulead video studio, adobe premier and a trial version of powerVCR (got off the vid card cd). I'm hoping one of them can capture video. I'll post in the video card section if I figure out a solution.

By the way, if you would like to do a 1 day "test" to see if premier will capture video, you could download premier without paying for it for one day legally. Once you figure out if it does work the way you hoped, you then "delete" it and decide whether or not to "buy" it.

Did I say that in a way that makes it allowed here?

lol, no clue... have to see what the mods think.

I was not able to get Ulead Video Studio SE (came with card) to capture video, same with PowerVCR. I am fairly new to this, so I might have the wrong setup. If you can get this to work, can you iether post here or email me what you did?

I will do the same if I make any headway.
