The MPs are the same as the XP, except for the unlocked part, and they are strictly made, so they are very stable and very well made. If you have the money, but the MP. If not, the XP.

ehh...i think they both have different cores?

but i m not sure

i dont see the need of a mp cpu if you are not going to use dual cpus... so it's the xp

I thought the XP had SSE or a a few other instruction sets compaerd to the mp.

If you got a single proc mobo then use XP, runs cooler too;)
If you got a dual proc mobo then use the MP:D
Two different cores with two different applications.

I know that any T-Bird ,Duron , or XP will work in a MP application though , so what is the difference?

wildone The MP was designed from the start with Multi-Procs as the final use. The TBs, Durons & XPs will probably work but not to their full potential.

But the mp boards were done before the MP processors were out ,and they used regular T-Birds and duron's to test and build the boards.
