View Full Version : Here is my case mod
Ok ok, I know I've been promising to post pix so here they go. The first pic is my case without the holes drilled yet, just marked.
Ok here it is half way done. You can see what i used to put in the holes. I don't know if you remember me bragging about the o-rings that I got for a few bucks, but it seems that they came in handy again.
and here it is finished. I used the o-rings cuz they look cool and hide any flaws that I had in the drilling process. This little mod has allowed me to put my side cover back on to reduce noise.
Hope ya enjoyed.

Very nice and tastefull, makes a change not to see massive holes in a case like I have
nice looking mod, but it's weak, we want to see some fans that blow 235+cfm, we want computer to be airborn, and sounds like a tornado.. ohhhh yeash
here's my case/stuff, 3 120mm fans (108cfm each) 2 80mm fans (42.5cfm each) 2 80mm fans (generic dual psus) 1 92mm (in a psu) {[2 60mm (40.1cfm screamers for my hs) and a blorb for my vid card (13cfm) ]} (these are not installed yet)
i did make a 5 switch (for the 120mm and the 80mm fans) 12v/0v baybus that looks very good.
you can look at my case here.

Tastefull, I like that word. It's the exact word I was looking for and trying to achive.
To be honest I really didn't want to cut a huge hole in the front of the case just a couple/few small one's.
Not only that I'm on 56k so I leave the thing on during the night to download, and i hate to have to listen to it whine all night.
Thanks

Looks good. What are those things you put in the holes? Also, are these just meant to be vents?
They are called Collars, I had a couple left over from work. They are used in the fuser of a copier. Were the heat roller meets the bearing.
I pretty much just wanted to put vents into my case and have it look stylish. I think it looks great, and I'm pretty happy with it.
Thanks again

Nice Job! I prefer lager ones for myself but it's always refreshing to see a change from the usual
