Ok which is the proper way, leaving the top of the t line open, or leaving it plugged up?? thx...
 
You should plug it, otherwise stuff could get into your system more easily, and that's just subtracting to the time you can go inbetween flushes.
 
A good cap for a t-line is to put a 1/2" to-3/4' threaded barb on the top of the tubing with the threaded end up and then get a threaded garden hose cap to screw on top to close it. It only costs the price of a barb and a hose cap (like $2).
