I'm trying to get round the firewall at work, any ideas of how to do it? It is a Sonicwall firewall. Also in the past week they have also blocked MSN Messenger, is there a way round that too? We use a proxy server.

Sonwall makes many firewalls. Unforunatlly you must be an administrator to add rules, so you can get around it. But the sonicwall product is VERY cool. If any changes are made it notifies the admin via e-mail. I have the Sonicwall TELE2 for home. Sorry, you can not get around it. Its very secure! If you do attempt to hack into it, everything is logged. You would most likely be fired!

Per fourm rules it is not allowed to advertize your home page in your sig. You might want to remove it

I use and administer 6 sonicwalls at work. All attempts to bypass are logged and emailed to me. You'd be surprised what people are trying to get to at a school!

P.S. there's probably a good reason why you're not supposed to be using MSN messenger AT WORK. They might want you to be working....;)

What what what???? WORK at work!?!?!?!? I thought this "work" thing was where you went and read the Overclockers forums all day and got *PAID* to do it... :D
I guess there are some things good about being one of the administrators, if you wanna get somewhere that's blocked, just reconfigure the firewall, then delete the logs... :D
Got Root???

Sorry , but nothing , unfortunately, is impossible to get around.
I have a good friend that is a network security specialist, he said that new hacks are developed faster than rabbits multiply. Which is good for him (keeps him in a job ) but VERY bad for the rest of us that want to keep people out of places they aren't supposed to be.

I don't know if you can do this but try to use a different proxy. This is how we all get around it at school. If you go in IE and configure the proxy so that you are useing one outside of your LAN then you should be ok as long as the proxy doesnt get blocked. Google is a good place to search for proxies.

hope it helps
