Ok, I have discovered a leak in my MRes at the output barb. What do I do?

Use a Silicone sealant, those used to fix / repair aquariums, i always do this to all my new res just to prevent leaks. You should find it in any hardware or aquarium shop.

I have just done that, actually. As soon as I saw the leak I went out and bought some. How long does it take to dry?

I would let it dry 24h, just to be sure.

Just to be sure, you did have a clamp on it also, right?

i think he meant it was leaking at where the barb screws into the res, not the connection between the hose and the barb.

Hopfully this silicon seals up the problem.
