View Full Version : SLI Bridge Question
Are all SLI bridges the same? Or do you have to use one specific for your motherboard? I have a DFI Ultra-D that I want to use in SLI, but last time I read a few months back, you had to mod the board and use a bridge. Are the bridges and the mod still necessary with the new 80.xx drivers? I found a few bridge for sale, but are Asus brand, does it matter? My video card is compatible with SLI, eVGA 7800GT.
Thanks! :)
all of them are the same pinout on the plug. the only difference is in the length, depending on which motherboard it will go into. asus boards use wider pcie spacing than DFI. The difference is noticeable in a picture.

I figured this might be the case, and after doing some reading, it was stated that you have to have an early version of the Ultra-D to do the mod anyway, is this case also? My board is probably a newer version since I just bought it in late October.
