What operating system was running these drives prior to installing XP?
Was this an upgrade from 2000?
If you had 2000 in prior did you install it FAT32 or NTFS?
Did you install XP in FAT32 or NTFS?

this microsofto called company has always been puting us in trouble,i had just bought my winxp profesional cd (not the original hopefully) and... u know the results, first off all they say that if u dont have a driver for ur pc just visit the micosoft site, well in my case winxp didn't even found my modem, it would not call even if i installed it as a typical one. my soundblaster the same problems the sound during tha playback had some scratches, well what the f**k i said lets get back to winme.AT least they are more compatible with software and drivers.OH! i almost forgot, some programs dont play under winxp so u have to run the program compatibility wizard from the accesories menu, well the install was succesful but when i rebooted and tried to run the program most of the programs failed to run (even powerdvd3 which is quite a new program)thats all,i might uprgade my system to winxp after they have upgraded their driver library at least in one GB! (no joke) nothing worked well. A TIP u must already know:for better performance if you will use winxp (winsuckzXP) disable some special effect like fade in/out or the animations ur computer will go much faster.
