Currently there are two codes for the 1800+ AGKFA and AGKGA, also on the third line of each one is either start with 9 or Y. The best one is the AGKGA Y, know to hit up to 1.8GHz. I just got mine yesterday and is the AGKGA Y, It not doing so well around 1.6GHz without unlocking the L1 and using the retail heatsink. I don't wanna use my dorb3 because I find it difficult to install and remove, just broke two plastic mounting peice on the socket. I will have to wait two more weeks till I received my Swiftech MCX462.

i've got the 'GA Y. hehe, i JUST noticed that... LOL. anyways, it runs pretty nice, only can get it up to 1626. but i also have an alpha heatsink, and 1 case fan in right now, all others are off. and it is cold right now... i could push it, but im waiting for a multiplier overclock, and watercooling (new case came in today).

it overclockes alright, might need a bit of tweaking to get it up to 1800.

I got mine up to 1.65Ghz highest right now, 11X143MHz, 1.70V. how high is your cpu voltage set at, cowanrg?

I've also got the GA Y and low 1600 is about all I can get also.If that's the good stepping I'd hate to have the others!I'm kind of disappointed with it.I thought they would do alot better.

To reach 1.8Ghz+, you gotta lower the multipler to something like 11X164MHz=1.8Ghz with voltage higher than 1.85V and propably watercooling. The average success for air cooling is 1.7Ghz+ at 1.85V.

I agree, the 1.7 sounds about right for air. I'm currently running a XP1800 AGKGA Y at 1680 & 1.85V air cooled. MAX temp so far is 45 (about 5C cooler than my 1.3 Tbird was at max.)
