I tried it and I haven't checked by fr's but I can tell ya, much better on the lag I was having. Game is much smoother then before I did it.

Honestly I don't really see that as a fix, if it worked for you that's cool. A lot of the lag issues were associated with how much ram BF2 *****s when you play it. If you adjust the texture settings properly to how much ram you have

1 Gig = Can't all be on high or ultra high, else it will start using Virtual Ram ala HD accessing.

After I stuck in some ram I had laying around here, I can crank up the settings. Seems a handful of people were having issues with SF, mine installed with out a hitch odd.

I'm running 1.5G's and before I started running SF, I had no problems at all. However afterwards, the maps were laggy as hell. It's a problem a lot of people are having. Just thought I would post it as an option for people.
Mine installed fine, it was the gaming experience I was having issues with.
