I managed to get my hands on this tablet for free. To make a long story short, the previous owner is a real hothead and threw it across a room. Can the cpu be removed, or is it soldered to the board?

I got this tablet running again last night. The pcmcia slot did not work. It did not work with the wireless card installed, and the hdd was trash. I left it on all night after reseating all the parts and installing a new hdd, but it seems it has died for good now. Any chance I can salvage the cpu?

Well What Generation CPU? I would mabey see if you can test the other parts and see if the mobo is bad.
