What wattage?

What kind of wattage PSU should I be looking at for the following build:

DFI nF4 Ultra-D
Opteron 144
X800 GTO2
1GB GeIL DDR400
Currently an IDE HDD, but in the near future a SATA one

On average, Joe Sixpak -off the shelf one ..... 500w

Or a good brand name one for O/C'n 450+ >

What is the budget?

Amperage is more important than the overall wattage. Pay more attention to the +12v wattage.

I would agree with the above poster but again, brand is important if you want quality. A Deer-made 500w is a fire waiting to happen, and that's not a good thing.

I'm not sure that's true. Almost every PSU in every computer is 'Deer made.' How often do you hear of a computer burning a house down. It may suck for OCing, but these things pass electrical safety standards.
