quality wise is audigy 2 value same as audigy 2 zs???

is the only advantage the zs has over the value extra features such as support for 7.1 surround sound etc (which in this case im not interested in?)

Yes, it's the same chip with the same sound. You won't get a joystick port, but not many people use them anymore.

so let me just confirm the audigy 2 value has the EXACT same quality as an audigy 2 zs due to both cards having the saem quality DACs and the same chip

however the zs has support for 7.1 surround sound and firewire port etc. (which the audigy 2 value doesnt)

so bottom line is: audigy 2 value = 2 zs (quality wise)
2 zs >value (features wise)

am i correct? also if inm not interested in a firewire port, surround sound etc then will the value provide the same quality as the zs?

Yes, you are correct. I forgot about the firewire port, but yes, it will sound the same.

I don't think the A2 decodes DTS either, but that may not matter to you.
