I'm making an external box for all of my watercooling equipment and am wondering how the hell I'm going to power 3 120mm fans (3 pin). Any ideas?

Wow. It's /OWN/ powersupply! That's pretty much overboard, but it sure as hell would be cool...and heavier.

I have spare powersupplies, thanks though. That Hi-pro one sure is cheap.
I wonder if there's a way to modify a powersupply so that it only has 4 and 3 pin molexes. Also, does a PSU even have the 3-pin connector like my panaflos need?

You can always cut and twist, sodder, wire nut, etc...
yes, but different lines have different voltages? If I just cut off the 24 pin molex and slapped a 4 pin on; I'm sure that wouldn't be good. Also, does a PSU even have the 3-pin connector like my panaflos need?

*doh, just realized you meant external. I'd just grab a circuit board and a 12V power supply, a 12V female connector, and do some soldering.

Grab some solder, connect the plug to the board (12v side to one of the long traces, ground to the other, and then connect your fans to these traces in that configuration.

As long as you know which wire does what, you can use them to power whatever you want.

Black = ground
yellow =12v
red = 5v
orage = 3.3v
green = short to ground to start

I don't think and powersupply will have the connector you are looking for. Adapters for 3-pin molexes are readily availble, though.
