How to make a RAMDRIVE!!!

Ever since Win 95, 98, ME, I have wanted to make a Ramdrive, for Windows 2k, or xp. I have never been succesful.

I posted in GH about saving power while torrents seed. I was thinking that an awesome way to do it would be to copy the file to a memory (I have 1 gig), and then let the hdd go into power save mode.

So how can I make windows use memory like that? ramdrive.sys doesn't work lol.

Do you know if that ramdrive is capable of more than ~30 megabytes.

Also, you had mentioned running fah as a service, and logging off the desktop...How do you add services to windows? I have had trouble with that in the past. Thanks

Fortunately, for the software I am using it will go nearly as large as needed.

It looks good, but I think that it has the same size limitations as the original file did like 30 megs.

You looking at the ARSoft Ramdisk? I have had it up to 250Mb (on 512 of ram) with no problems. I think it is a great add-on to my OS. Unfortunately I use windows 2000...
