Help-I'm sitting here stuck :(

Hey guys,
I have the asus P5ND2 SLI Deluxe mb
win xp pro sp2

i have 2 raptors at raid 0
i updated my bios to the new beta 905
i manually set my crucial ram to 3-3-3-12 like crucial says
at boot i got 2 long beeps - and then 2 loog beeps over and over


but this is my problem - i've already had to do this 1 other time

i had to clear cmos

i went into bios and enabled nvraid for sata 1 and sata 2

it boots up and the 138g raid drive is ok in stripe

but the boot loader or something is missing - win xp won't boot -

says ( disk boot failor - insert system disk and hit enter )


the last time i had to reset cmos- i had to reinstall xp cuz i don't know how to make it boot back now

can someone explain what i have to do?

Sounds like you probably need to set the boot priority in your BIOS so that your primary HDD is set to boot, instead of another HDD. But, I might just be oversimplifying the problem.

i set boot order just as it was was

1st cdrom
2nd hard drive
3rd disabled
4th disabled

Usually there is a way to specify WHICH harddrive to boot from. Check the options for that.

i unplugged my extra 300g sata hdd on sata3 and it booted

i can't find nothing to make raid 0 the main boot though

i guess now i can hook my extra hdd up

If its an issue of booting from your RAID, look in the boot order for something other then HDD. It will probably be labled as RAID
