the review i read said that the 4000XT has 32mb of ram, but the ,major difference is that the 4000XT is clocked at 115/115, and the 4500 at 175/175.....in the reviews iread the4000XT places between an Mx and an Mx400, and the 4500 places between an Mx400 and a GTS....

the 4000 version has a 64mb ram kyro2 base i saw this at Dixons.nl which is weird coz i thought they only had kyro 1 stuff on 4000 versions...is there a difference between a kyro 32 and a 64 mb version of 4000

probably not the kyro II prbably doesnt even need 64megs of memory because of the whole tile architecture thing....

According to Herculesīs homepage the 4000xt features 32 MB ram and the Kyro 1 chipset. It is also available with TV out.
Itīs only clocked at 115 Mhz, but it is still a good card for the price.
I think youīll enjoy it...:D

normal graphics card processes everyting even pixels you cant see, the kyroII is based on a different type of architecture called tile architecture and what it does is it only processes visible pixels so it doesnt need the memory bandwith or size of say a geforce2......

i knew that ...thanks anyway ....just couldn't see the link.......so the 4000 version with 64 mb won't make a difference right?!!!?

the difference between a 4000 32meg version and a 4000 64me version should be minimal...however i would suggest that you get a 4500 because it has much greater performance and still is very cheap.....however only get this card if you have a nice processor(p3/duron800 or higher) otherwise newer games will run slow because it lacks hardware t&l.....if you have a slower CPU i reccomend you get a RadeonLE for 51dollars(youll have to tweak it using programs but it should run like a normal radeon with this done).......Also ive seen a GTS-V card for 65$ that should be really nice(i dont know what the V means)....
