If single Dothan's are fun, just think what dual Yonah's will be! Thats four cores. Will XP pro handle that of will I have to use Linux?

WOAH, although it does look a bit photoshopped :(

IF it can provide enough memory bandwidth to feed all 4 cores, put me down for a couple please!! ;)
edit: I think winxp pro only see 2 cpu (pyhical or logical), I think you'll need win server2003 (or other server ver. windows) or linux in order to fully use all 4 cores..... oh no, then how about those whose running the 840EE chip?? they are using xp pro, aren't they??
Yes but I think XP Pro can see 2 real cores and 2 logical cores, but dual yonah would be 4 real cores which XPPro can't see.

XP Pro sees 2 CPU's with 4 exicution cores, XP Pro will work on a dual processor dual core setup.

I don't think that Win2K Pro will have problems seeing 4 actual cores either, since it doesn't have problems seeing both cores on a single proc, DC machine. Since Microsoft licenses by the socket and not the cores, a dual proc, dual core rig shouldn't have problems. I think the main problem with Win2K is dealing with a virtual proc like hyperthreading provides on a P4 system.
That mobo pic ias a hoax, however the board is real, see here:

It looks pretty damn cool. Good features for the board, and probably some OC options, too.

That's great. Supermicro is a solid, high quality server board, but in recent years, has not catered much to enthusiasts. What is perhaps more interesting is that Intel has revived the Multi Processor bit on the Yonah that has been absent from P4's since they were introduced. Or, Supermicro figured a way around it, but not likely. The CPU's have to have an instruction that allows them to all play nice together. If it was an easy workaround, we'ed probably seen a dual P4 board at some time.

Processor/Cache
* Dual 478-pin FC-mPGA4 Sockets
* Supports up to two Intel® Dual Core Pentium M™ processor(s)
* Low Power, Pentium M Dual Core (Sossaman) CPUs up to 2.5GHz
* Multi-Threading capable
* Enhanced Intel Speedstep Technology (EIST)
* 2MB L2 Integrated Advanced Transfer Cache
Key word here is Sossaman. Socket 480. It is the SMP version of P-M. It says socket 478 yes but Sossaman is socket 480. iirc intel added a pin for SMP.

You could be right, but it's not clear to me if they mean "only" Sossaman, or Sossaman in addition to "Dual Core Pentium M",(Yonah). Clearly they don't say Yonah specifically.
