In another forum someone had made a post about those programs that free up some memory ,so I tried it and does 6 hours seem too long for a Enghomeodomain protien? what are your times?oh I am at 850mhz and 512mb of ram I optimize 425 mb of free memory

Sounds about right. My 1.4 does them in 4 hours or so. give or take a little.

I'd say you're doing great or I'm catching hell.:eek:

What memory prog. And did it help?

I only have 256 RAM so if it works I think it'll help me a lot. Anyone else out there iwth 256 RAM or less?

I have 3 systems with 128MB's. I've been using freemem on them to clean the memory. I only had trouble on the machines with 128. All three of them went down to about 4MB free. Using freemem helped with them all.
I noticed the memory leak on the other systems but it didn't seem to be anywhere near as bad. Two with 256, one with 512.
