I realise this is somewhat off topic, but i had no idea where to post it, and it does kind of realate to copmuters.
Most cd players now have Anti Shock Memory. I have an old 3 second anti shock cd player, and my brother, a shockwave 5 second. Ooooh, big numbers. Anyway, I was peeking inside my brother's the other day (It's broken, don't ask), and I noticed what looked like a ram chip. I figured that's where the Anti shock stores it's data. I opened up mine, adn noticed No ram chip! There was a spot for one, but no chip. Im thinking of grabbing an old stick of ram, and taking off one of the chips, adn see what happens.
You thing putting a bigger chip in will increase the available anti shock time? It's just a thought, Im perfectly hapy with my cd player, so i don't need a new one. I just figured I have the resources, why not see what I can do.
