ATX 2.x ?

I've been browsing through reviews of various PSUs and looking at several online retailers and I've noticed that many PSUs have different numbers after the point where it says ATX 2.x. Some say 2.1, 2.01, etc. What do the different versions actually mean, and are there any significant differences between them?
