Suddenly, only SETI Spy is showing in the system tray (idle), and SETI Driver has vanished. No response to a (re)start client either......

Any help/clues?

Seti Driver has some bugs. Generally the only way to fix it is to grab a fresh copy from another machine or the net and let it cache new work units.

That happen to me too. Then it turned yellow. I didn't know what was wrong, so I installed it again. Working fine now!

I think the latest leaked nVidia drivers screwed my PC up - kept locking up on me - so 1 fresh Windows 2000 install later, CLC is up and crunching again!

You don't have to worry if SETIDriver is yellow. That means it has a finished WU waiting to be uploaded to the server. If you have autotransmit on, it will mean that SETI server is down.

If SETISpy is yellow.....well that means you have some problems, like no cached WU, or that SETIDriver crashed. Try checking in SETISpy/Client/Configuration Keep alive SETI Client, and Restart it when idle. That sometimes fix it.

Cool! Thanks for the help. I guess that would be a hell'va lot easier than downloading everything again!:)

Losing SetiDriver out of the systray, a lot of times, is the result of an error in Explorer.exe. If an error occurs in explorer that requires you to restore your desktop - SetiDriver will no longer show in the systray, but if you look in task manager you will see that setiathome-3, winoldap, and setidriver are still running. Just end task all 3 and restart setidriver and it will be back in systray.
