mounting holes..

I've heard that the swiftec storm / apogee mounting mechanism has some outside mounting holes that perfectly fit an 80mm fan. I've got one sitting in my case right now and thought about it as I got ready for work.. if anyone has mounted an 80MM fan to their block for cooling mosfets, etc. without much modding please lmk.

If I get an OK i'll more than likely try this when I get home.. I'll probably try it anyway but yeh

This could cause undesired lift however and might ruin the contact the block has with the IHS.

Hasn't been an issue with mine (the second pic in your referenced thread).
I'm considering removing the IHS and if I do I'll probably remount the fan some other way, but right now I don't see a problem.
