View Full Version : Kernal 32 error... in Win 98SE
I was playing Serious Sam, and all of a sudden, I get this "illegal" error, then I get a "kernal 32" error? What is that all about? Thanks for the replies.
Before I get that error alot.. I'm guessing its one of Win 98 bugs or a software conflict.

Have you tried scanreg.exe? Or Norton's registry checker?

What are the exact error messages you're receiving?

I don't know for certain what it is either, but it happens with me too. Not often, mind you, but frequent enough to be concidered a problem.
Often if you hit Space (which will click OK and close the window), then NOT TOUCH the Windows key (That will halt the system every time, guaranteed), then click once on an empty spot on the desktop, wait 10 seconds or so, then run a program via a Desktop shortcut, everything should be OK, and you shouldn't have to restart.

EXTRACT new KERNEL32 from your win98 disk......to the current one you have in your computer..........it should solve this problem

just upgrade to 2k or nt4 and you'll never have to see that kernel32 ever again:D

OR UPGRADE to win XP, perhaps?
you get the feeling and the touch from Microsoft.
