Search Disabled?!

I'm on WinXP Pro SP2...and for some reason the Search window won't come up at all, I can't search for files...Anyone know what's up w/ this? Thx.

open my computer and press ctrl+F ?

You could also try reinstalling the files that the Search Companion requires. Log on to your computer using an account with administrative privileges, then type the following in the Run box... %systemroot%\inf, and click OK. Locate the Srchasst.inf file, right click and select "Install".
