It's winter break, time to mod!

First issue at hand: sound. I want my comp to be SILENT. I did pick up one of those rebadged yate loon (?) fans from CompUSA, and I think I may be replacing the M1A panaflos with them...

But anyway, anyone here have tricks for silencing? I saw in the project logs someone as using tool box liner here (http://www.ocforums.com/showthread.php?t=430648). What else could be useful that I could find at automotive/hardware stores? Cardboard? Bubble wrap? Lava rock?

Also, I have an acrylic window. Doh. What should I do about that? Maybe just replace the sides (on a super lan boy), so that the window is on the back of my motherboard, against the wall? (I could care less about looking inside. What you cant see, can hurt you. ;) ) Or maybe doubling the acrylic up (with an air buffer) will help?

Thanks guys in advance.

SPCR (http://forums.silentpcreview.com/index.php?sid=5476ab1ef91685ee4ec183c01c6f786a) would be the best place to start.

Put rubber grommets, or rubber washers on the drives to dampen the vibrations.
