Board: AK31 rev 3, latest BIOS
CPU: XP1600+
DDR: 1x512MB Nanya PC2100

Runs fine at FSB 133-145 default voltage.

FSB 146 works most of time at default. Works
all the time at vcore = +.025

At FSB 147 needs vcore = +.050 to boot, +.100 to
run stably.

Nothing works at FSB 148.

How do I tell what is impeding FSB increases beyond 147?

Is there a scientific way or do I need to start removing
components until I find the problem one? Sounds too
much like changing all the tires on an 18-wheeler until
you find the flat one!

If it is unlocked it would be easy, just drop the multiplier so the cpu is running at default speed or less while at 150fsb.
That way you can eliminate the cpu, if its locked it might be the cpu does not like the mhz.
But yes removing cards either all and then add 1 at a time or removing 1 at a time until you find the problem.
Most video cards are ok so a nic or usb device is a good place to start.

I would say that it's your CPU rather than the FSB if bumping the Vcore makes a difference

Did some more testing.

Looks like the Vcore boost info is bogus.

Works fine at 145 MHz no matter what I do to voltage.

Fails at above 145 MHz if I run it long enough, no matter what
Vcore.

Any ideas?
