Here's the deal........
Bought 2 of the 1.4TBirds from Newegg, Sparkle 400W power supplies, Abit KG-7's, and Millenium Glaciator 2's. Won't even make it to Windows at 1.6, no matter what multiplier or FSB I put it at. It' randomly REBOOT's during Quake 3 at 1540 and 1.85 volts, and my temps are 44C at IDLE. I'm a bit dissapointed in both processors, of course it could be me that's causing the problem. It shouldn't be a power problem as my 5V line is 4.98 at idle.

Are there some BIOS settings that I have wrong? These random reboots when the computer is stressed is because of what? I'm dissapointed that they will barely run 1500 stable. These 1.4's are both the better stepping that NewEgg sells. Can anyone give me some tips for the Abit KG-7 and other stuff to get these things running better than this?

Thanks in advance.

BTW........I did use a razor blade to put some Artic Silver on before installing the Glaciators.

lower your memory setting, lowest as possible, to see how far you can go

How do I lower the memory setting? Parameters, etc.

Disable Interleav
Command rate to 2T or 3T
CL to 2.5 or 3

bigger number = slower

Not all 1.4s go 1500, matter of fact I have found that they are not really any faster than a lot of the 1.0 or 1.2 AXIA's. I have two 1,4s and one is running at 1466 and the other at 1400. Many of my 1.0 AXIA's are running 1466 or 1507. :)

I needed really good air cooling to hit high 1600's, and felt lucky to hit 1700. If you have a box fan lying around give it a shot just to see if that is your problm.
