Hi Guys!
Recently, I've tried Windows ME/2000 Pro/XP all of them give me roughly the same wu times of 8.6 hours. From what I've read, I should have a faster time using 2000 or XP.
Any ideas of why the wu times are so high?
Thanks! :)
Below is my configuration:
Intel D815EEA/D815EPEA Motherboard
PIII - 667 133FSB
2 x 256MB Micron PC133 (512MB Total)
64MB GeForce II Ultra
Not really - the times will be almost exactly the same when each OS is tweaked - you can throw linux into the mix too. I've never seen more than about 5 minutes difference among all these. The biggest difference is between the screen saver and clc.

That's pretty good times.
I've got a PIII600 (100MHz FSB), Win2000, GeF2 MX400 64 Meg with 512 Meg of RAM (2*256Meg sticks,1*Crucial, 1*PQI) On a Tyan Trinity 400 mobo (Via chipset), and I'm running at around 10 hours/WU.

The only major difference the operating system will play is stablity. My times stay the same no matter what OS is use. Memory handling and stablity is why I switched to Win2000. I am not completely happy with it, and might be going back to 95 or 98.
I'm running the command line client in linux, but i need help finding a program that will monitor it like setispy does for windows. i've tried using ksetispy but it just doesn't track nething but itself. neone have some ideas?

Just did a quick Google for you and came up with this http://msetimon.sourceforge.net/ . I don't run Linux, so I can't say how good/bad it is. Hope it's what you are looking for.
